Emily with turquoise earrings

Hi, I'm Emily.

psychologist, healer, guide

In the Fall of 2024, I had finally "done it". I'd completed the checklist: fancy degree partner house career plan. Then it hit me...

I'm not happy.

That's when my real work started.

I'm probably not your average clinical psychologist. I don't believe all the books. I probably won't use the manual. I genuinely believe that, in your heart of hearts, you already know what you need to know.

I can't give you the answers, but I have walked the path. Over the past year, I have come home to myself. If you feel guided to do the same, walk with me. I'd love to walk you home.

Training & Professional Experience

I'm more than the letters after my name — and so are you.

Credentials are not the whole story, and they should never ask you to override your own inner knowing. But I do believe training matters, because healing work asks for real skill, discernment, and care.

I studied psychology at UC Berkeley, worked in neuropsychological assessment at UCSF, and earned my doctorate at the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium, affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine.

I spent years training in and practicing evidence-based therapy, including ACT, EFT, CPT, CBT, DBT, EMDR, mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-focused care. I have led mindfulness groups at Stanford, created and led psychoeducational groups for couples, and received specialty training in LGBTQ+ care, trauma/PTSD, and relationship distress. Across individual, couples, and group work, I have supported more than 300 people in their healing and recovery.

I mention this because, while my work has evolved, this is my background. I know the manuals. I just also know from the inside what feels truer to me.

Where My Work Lives Now

These days, my work lives at the intersection of psychology & soul.

I draw most directly from Internal Family Systems, somatic healing, and Transformational NLP, infused with my own intuition and energetics.

What these approaches share is a belief I hold deeply: you are not broken.

Your deeper Self — your soul, essence, and inner knowing — remains whole and intact beneath the trauma, conditioning, and survival strategies you've carried. My work is about helping you reconnect with that wholeness, heal the young parts of you that got stuck in the past, release what is no longer yours, and reclaim your power as the conscious co-creator of your life.

Some Things I Believe That Inform My Work

The universe is always conspiring for your highest good
Most things worth knowing are a paradox
What life presents to us is ultimately for us
Life flows better when we surrender (note: this does not mean being passive)
We are co-creators with the divine
Our reality is a hologram of our internal world: as above, so below

"Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is fear walking."
